Lie Back And Think Of England

I'm baaaaaack! (And Baptist!)

I had a wonderful time, but I missed all of you. And then Emily leaves the day I come back. If that's not irony, I don't know what is.

My family is great, probably cuz I don't see them all the time. I'll give you some highlights of my trip:

First we went to Oregon, which was cool, cuz I haven't been there in years. My Aunt and Uncle and two cousins live there. We went to the coast, which was chilly, but soo worth it. We saw tide pools and SEALS! Eeeeee! They were sooo cute and they were looking at us look at them! I want one!

The second highlight of Oregon was that my Uncle told me it was a tradition that he let each of his nieces and nephews drive around their property before they got their permit. It was so much fun! And I'm really good, if I do say so myself.

One letdown though, was that I lost my ring. Well, actually, I just now, when we got back, lost my ring that my aunt bought me in Oregon. It was really cool too cuz it was made out of a spoon handle (I am unable to describe it) and it fit my thumb perfectly. Now I'm afraid that it's somewhere in Buffalo. Grrreat. So if you see it, give me a holler.

So, on to Cali. The weather there rocks. It's like, 90, but zero humidity. I sat out by the pool everyday and now I sort of have a tan on my stomach and I've half lost my shorts tan. Of course, I'll get them back because you just can't tan in Geneva.

My grandmother turned 80 so we had a big party and all these relatives came but I knew no one. Talk about awkward. I mostly hung out with my first cousins and tried to guess how I was related to people. Some of it's really complicated! Like, Francesco is my grandfather's mother's sister's son or something. I think. And Francesco eerily looks like John Stewart.

I have two baby twin cousins and they are the cutest things ever. They're not really babies anymore, but toddlers. They're Fiona and Adrian, but they call eachother Wee-wee. Like, if you say: Fiona, say Adrian, she'll say Wee-wee. And so will he. My Aunt and Uncle are teaching them Spanish along with English. Doesn't that rock? They're older brother, Alex, won't speak Spanish to his family, but apparently if he's at a friend's house with someone who doesn't speak english, he'll speak Spanish to them. Alex is a cute kid too, and he's really mature for six.

I'm gonna e-mail my cousin and hopefully get some pictures off her. I have some, but they're not digital.

And this is soo great: There are just tons of new books around waiting for me to read them! I spent a lot of time in Borders trying to decide which one to buy. In the end I couldn't choose one of them, instead grabbing a random book. Now I'm just gonna get them from the library.

Hopefully I'll still finish my english work, but I'm only half done, and not to mention AP US and the extra credit books. Agh. And AP Chem. Gah. But they aren't due till school, so that's a relief.

Tiredly,
B

I don't think we have to really DO anything for chem, just familiarize ourselves with the stuff on the paper...that i lost. DO you mean Jon Stewart from The Daily Show? Because that would indeed be awesome.
